Jonny Germ (Deaf) and Atif (Bangladeshi) are two outrageously good instrumentalists, masters of the bass, and drums, respectively. Together they form an experimental eclectic progressive-punk-metal-world fusion-ect ect. band BANGLADEAFY! I played an AllOne & The Room show at Biddy Spratts alongside them, and afterward, Johnny humbly came up to me to my surprise, and said that he'd seen my play a year earlier at SUNY Purchase with Michael Korb's band (while he played in The Vigilance Committee) and had been eager to work with me since then, and coincidence brought us together that night. Immediately, talks of a collaboration took place. They sent me this instrumental song "Carsick" (later released on their debut album "This Is Your Brain On Bugs") and I set to crafting lyrics to it while I was at SUNY Oswego. The chaos of the song brought the dissonance of our modern "civilized" western society to mind, and here is my attempt to analyze and criticize that. This is some of the most complex writing I'd done at the time. Michael Korb recorded and mixed the lyrics for me in his home studio.
Trivia:
**I often perform this as a spoken word piece during shows.
**This piece has only been performed with the band once, at a breast cancer benefit at St. James' Comiskey Park.
**The photo for this song is the flyer for the show where Bangladeafy and I reconnected!

Creating to connect. Obsessively exploring and creating art as healing and growing.
Deeply vivid/introspective lyrics populate this ambitious folk rock project. The arrangements span from mellow/minimal to rocking and grandiose. Consistently emotive, unique and sincere. Brilliance. AllOne
Progressive yet punk, aggro yet emotional. One of my favorite bands from Long Island and doing everything they can to live up to their name, raising money for causes and making badass music, AllOne
supported by 4 fans who also own “Carsick (Bangladeafy)”
I have been listening to variations of this album a long time. I remember I was living in a cardboard dumpster when some young guy was like yo dude it's gonna rain come crash on my couch. He played The Many Faces of Oliver Hart for me. I fell in love, I set my favorite track as Rain because we looped it when the rain came. That was one of the early acts of kindness I received in the nearly 20 years I've been homeless. @NomadRoamsFree
